Dream world

Memories of you blanket me thru all the sadness and chaos of life. Thoughts of you keep me warm and help me sleep through each lonely night. You have become my light, warmth, my dream world to escape to...and you don't even know it yet! Maybe it is better this way..in life you could never compare to this version of you!

Squiggly lines

Seems I am back o drawing squiggly line again...some things keep coming back in various forms...should figure which ones these are and why....
The white frame under the window is what I drew at Goa People Tree Store...the artwork was inspired from the original artwork on top. Somehow the wall illustration looked better in black and white...there is such joy in painting on a wall!!!

Anime trip with cousins

This was in Kalimpong..when I had gone home for Christmas vacation...so we got together a group of cousins and decided to do an anime themed artwork...
Lovely to bond with all of them!!!!

Sunday painting

This was also in Baroda..someone was kind enough to let us use his terrace....fabric was bought, paints and brushes came out....people landed up....
Fun began from 11am to maybe 7.30pm.
The light faded....by the time we finished.
Oh!!! how I wish to do this all over again!!!!

Impromptu group sketch

This was done in 2011 sometime in Baroda...met some very beautiful, warm people and had some fun!!!
It think they still have it in their home!!!

I still have plants on my mind....

Still got plants on my mind....I bought some plants to have nature closer to me. It is still work in progress.. but surrounding oneself in green in this concrete world...is sooooo calming.
Also I heard..November rain and Tuesday's gone after decades...was quite refreshing.

Drawing ink bottles

Late night sketch...just found my old bottles of drawing inks....different contents for different people...
I think I should use drawing inks more often!!!

On the path to self discovery

I'm at a crossroads in life...after so long I feel like myself...
Sometimes you get so caught up in family, love ,work, ideals...sooo much more that you forget to breathe...live..chase what you really want from life...appreciate nature..truly be yourself...appreciate friends...small things that give you joy...and sooooo much more!!!!!

So here I am...figuring out all over again...tough journey...but a journey that is mine to take.

Lambani Gypsy Clips

The Lambani are a gypsy tribe from Karnataka and are the people who used to be the re-cyclers of Goa. They adorn their hair with these hand beaten aluminium clips.
I have added some detailing to them from stuff sourced from Chandni chowk and some made on my own. I love gypsies!!!!!

My very own Dakini

Dakini is a Tantric Deity described as a female embodiment of enlightened energy. In the Tibetan language, Dakini is rendered khandroma which means 'she who traverses the sky' or 'she who moves in space'. Sometimes the term is translated poetically as 'sky dancer' or 'sky walker'.

She is still an incomplete sketch..I will update as I complete her...
A happy heart, mind and body results in a happy sketch!!!

Goa enlightenment

And nature fills you!
Breathe and feel it's heartbeat...your's is in sync!!!

What a beautiful feeling...Thank you Goa....you reminded me of who I really am!!!

Black and white narratives

I found these ones after many years. All part of the same sketchbook, but done at different points of time. It somehow reminds me of different locations....If really thought out, it could be maybe become a part of a narrative.
I have been using my old archives fo my illustrations...but i think I have to start drawing again...
